If New Year’s resolutions gave way to winter hibernation and you are now staring swimsuit season square in the face, fitness fun can be found this summer at Columbus Commons. You don’t need a gym membership, a trainer, a long-term contract or even a red cent. Just throw on some workout kicks and get sweating. You’ll have fun and up your healthy quotient.

Columbus Commons Free Fitness Classes are offered in two sessions. Session 1 runs May 2 through June 10, while Session 2 runs August 1 - September 30.  Fitness classes at Columbus Commons are free thanks to sponsorship from United Healthcare. Ohio Fit Club instructors are on hand for seven different classes each week, so you can mix things up to keep it interesting. On Tuesdays sweat it out with Commons Cardio at 5:15 p.m. or stretch it out with Vinyasa Flow Yoga (bring your own mat) at 6:15 p.m.. On Wednesdays, you can choose from Kickboxing at 5:15 p.m., Bootcamp at 6:15 p.m. or Hip Hop at 7 p.m. You can also start your weekend off with some zen with another Vinyasa Flow Yoga offered Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Or if you prefer a little more heat, choose the Latin rhythms of Zumba offered Saturday at 10 a.m.

You do need to sign a waiver before you can participate, but that’s easy too. Just click here and bring the completed form to the first class you attend. You’ll find a check-in table where you’ll receive a wristband you can wear for each class you plan to attend. Waivers are also available on site.

So grab some friends and find your fitness fun to kick summer off right.
