The 2015 Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, will kick off the festival season by bringing the best in fine art and fine craft to the downtown Riverfront, June 12, 13 and 14. The free Columbus Arts Festival will feature more than 300 fine artists from around the country, six stages of entertainment, delicious food from area restaurants and food trucks, hands on activities for families and much more.
New features this year include Sharkey’s Jazz & Blues Stage, an Acoustic Lounge, the Franklinton Theatre Stage, a host of interactive activities and more! Back by popular demand are the air conditioned film tent featuring local, national and international filmmakers, Canstruction—a design and building exhibition benefitting the MidOhio Food Bank, and Piada Italian Street Painting featuring chalk masterpieces on the streets by local artists. For a complete listing of artists, activities and entertainment schedules visit the Columbus Arts Festival website.
Enjoy the Festival as a visitor or sign up to help support the Arts Festival as a volunteer. Volunteers do everything from help with the hands-on art activities to staffing artists’ booths while they take a short break, to being a stagehand and many other critical jobs. With a commitment of just a few hours (each shift is only 3-4 hours), volunteers can be part of the annual event, receive a T-shirt to commemorate the experience, and a chance a great raffle prizes for each shift worked.
