Capital Crossroads and Discovery SIDs work daily to make life downtown better, from the Clean and Safe Ambassadors, to homeless outreach; from coordinating safety efforts with safety professionals throughout downtown, to coordinating special events like Pearl Market. In addition, the SIDs monitor and track information that gauges the vitality of the central business district of downtown, offering quarterly reports on what is happening regarding development.
On July 29, Capital Crossroads and Discovery SIDs are hosting a 2015 Mid-Year Downtown Economic Development Update, and you are invited. Marc Conte, Deputy Director of Research, Planning & Facilities will share a report on economic development activity in downtown for the first half of the year and expected upcoming activity for the remainder of the year. The event will also feature a presentation from Brett Kaufman, Founder and CEO, Kaufman Development, who will discuss his residential development activities in downtown Columbus, including 250 South High Street, the LeVeque Tower and the new 17-story building at Columbus Commons.
