Did you know Pearl Market will move to the Ohio Statehouse grounds next summer? Don't worry, it's just while the Rhodes State Office Tower gets a little face lift.
So, Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District (SID) thought a little contest might help get people ready for the move. The contest is open to amateur or professional artists. We want a new design for each side of the 2018 Pearl Market shopping bag.
One side of the bag should feature Ohio farms or produce. The other should call out the Ohio Statehouse--Pearl Market’s temporary home. Artists may enter artwork for one or both sides of the bag. So, you have multiple chances to win.
Artists must submit artwork in a vector art file, which has dimensions of 11”h x 12”w. The deadline is November 24, 2017.
Two winners will be chosen (one for artwork for the front, and one for the back). Each winner will receive $100 gift card, thanks to the Credit Union of Ohio and Heartland Bank. Capital Crossroads will also give each winner a $50 gift certificate to Pearl Market.
All artwork submitted must be appropriate for public use. Also, it should be unique and appeal to a wide audience of Pearl Market shoppers.
Artwork should communicate the move to the Ohio Statehouse grounds or promote local farming or Ohio produce. (Each entry will be judged on its contribution to organization and clear communication.)
The artwork will be judged by the Pearl Market Manager, a Pearl Market farmer, as well as representatives from the Credit Union of Ohio, Heartland Bank, the Franklin County Farm Bureau, and the Ohio Arts Council and/or Greater Columbus Arts Council.
