Unless you vacation along the Maine coastline, Cape Cod or Martha’s Vineyard, you may have never encountered a lobster roll. After all, Midwesterners generally choose to dip this sweet crustacean into drawn butter, and who would think of chopping up a delicacy like lobster into chunks, adding some mayo and spreading it onto a hoity-toity version of a hotdog bun? Wait. There is something magical that happens when you sink your teeth into this scrumptious sandwich, and now Hills’ Market Downtown hosts Lobster Days during August so everyone can give them a whirl.



Every Saturday in August, you can stop into the Hills Market Downtown between 12 and 4 p.m. for a freshly made, buttery Maine lobster roll. As if that’s not enough, Hills’ creates a meal for you complete with the lobster roll, a bag of local OH! Chips, a slice of Der Dutchman pie and a glass of lemonade. Yummo.

This August event is wildly popular, so you’ll want to show up early to make sure you get some of this amazing New England nosh.
