The Nutcracker 2015We know this time of year often adds stress to an already long list of obligations, but everyone deserves some art and culture even during the chaotic holiday season. What better way to celebrate than to take the family to our very own version of The Nutcracker? You still have time to get tickets to this magical show produced by BalletMet.

Come along on the holiday journey with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince to the Land of Sweets. Indulge in unforgettable characters and choreography, exquisite costumes and scenery and music from the Columbus Symphony, conducted by Luis Biava. BalletMet’s The Nutcracker was co-created by Gerard Charles and Robert Post with choreography by Gerard Charles. Shows run through December 27, so if you can’t squeeze a performance in before Christmas, you still have time to create family memories that will last a lifetime.

Did you know that more than 150 children will perform alongside BalletMet’s professional dancers? Some will even take on company roles and travel to perform at the Detroit Opera House.

While at the Ohio Theatre, take in the beauty of this historic venue with its opulent Spanish-Baroque architecture and a 21-foot-high chandelier. There’s not a bad seat in the house as you watch the sugar plum fairy dance across the stage.

Ticket prices range from $32 to $89 and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center and all Ticketmaster outlets.
