Did you fight with your siblings over who got the funnies in the local paper? Especially on Sunday? If so, CCAD and Cartoon Crossroads Columbus have a festival for you (and other lovers of creativity). This weekend, October 1 - 3, come on out for the World-Class Comics Festival, a city-wide literary festival focused on reading and enjoying comics, cartoons, graphic novels and webcomics.



With 15 special guests and 45 exhibitors, there is sure to be something for everyone. Cartooning superstars include Art Spiegelman, Jeff Smith, Kate Beaton, Craig Thompson, Jamie Hernandez, Bill Griffith, Jeff Lemire and Francoise Mouly. Also, peruse both star-studded comics expos, where you’ll find books for sale, and attend one of the panels and presentations featuring world-class comics.

Many events will take place at the Wexner Center, but on Saturday, the fun heads downtown to the Cultural Arts Center during the day and Columbus College of Art and Design in the evening. CCAD is hosting a cocktail party and a nighttime presentation featuring Art Spiegelman and Francoise Mouly as they discuss the 35 years of their groundbreaking comics publication RAW Magazine with their friend Jeff Smith.
