The Columbus Arts Festival kicks off festival season in Cbus. Sure, there’s plenty to see, but there’s also plenty to do, too. So, where to start? We assembled a few helpful hints to get your rolling.

The Arts Festival runs Friday through Sunday, June 8-10 along the Riverfront. There’s plenty to keep you busy all weekend or for just the afternoon.

Next, you gotta know where to go when temperatures soar. Head over to the Oakland Nursery Shade Stations at Bicentennial Park. Kick back in the shade with color and texture that will transport you to tropical paradise. And if you need be one with the water to cool off, Riverfest returns this year offering a free canoe and kayak launch point.
Gotta kiddo (or one at heart) who must find just the right medium for her art? Make a beeline for the Hands-on Activities Village. Pssst, the Children’s Gallery is close by, too.
Sure, you can rub elbows with internationally recognized artists, but don’t forget the local talent. Creative groups from all over CBUS come together under the Big Local Art Tent. Local independent artists will sell their art. And, artists will show you how to work with clay, leather, stained glass and more.
