Experience urban renewal at its finest. Blockfort Gallery and Studios has taken a former downtown auto parts store and converted it into a gallery and artist studios. Painters, sculptors, printmakers, designers, performers, organizers and makers come together at Blockfort, just steps from the Columbus College of Art & Design and the Columbus Museum of Art. The space features a gallery at the front, a seating area for collaboration, all the amenities artists need, and clean and bright studios.



Stop in and take it all in yourself. You never know what you’ll find when you peek around the corner at Blockfort. It could be Meghan Brouillette’s intricate quilting, or Adam Brouillette’s bubbly, fun paintings. It could be the buttery-soft, local-themed textiles at Alison Rose’s new home, relocated from its previous space on Indianola Avenue. It could be colorful ceramic scallops, or the mesmerizing designs of Catherine Bell Smith’s seed mosaics made from natural materials. It could be one of Chris Blain’s iconic oil portraits, or the collaborative work of Marshall Shorts and David “Sketch” Butler in their Artfluential workshop. Don’t forget to wander toward the back and take in the aroma of Stinky Bomb Soaps.
