Festivals really up the fun quotient, eh? While we eat and drink each and every day, this weekend you can do so in full festival fun with the Columbus Food Truck Festival and the Columbus Summer Beer Festival. Woo hoo.
The Columbus Food Truck Festival runs August 14 - 15 from noon to 10 p.m. at Columbus Commons and August 16 from noon - 6 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Third and Rich streets. Now in its fifth year, the festival will be even bigger and yummier. You can enjoy cuisine from fan-favorite local food trucks, not to mention some that have rumbled in from out of town. In addition to the best in mobile vittles from more than 70 food trucks, you can take in live music, crafts and family fun for all.
If all that eating makes you crave a cold brew, good news awaits at the Columbus Summer Beer Festival (though to be clear, there will, of course, be beverages of all types available for purchase at the food truck festival). Head over to the LC Pavilion on August 14 - 15. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door for regular admission or $50 in advance or $60 at the door for early admission; all proceeds benefit Animal Rescue Partners. So seeking some suds will help you do good for our furry friends.
The event features more than 300 craft beers, food trucks, live music and more. Your regular admission ticket entitles you to 25 tickets, each good for a four- to five-ounce pour in a souvenir beer mug, while an early-admission tickets allows you to enter at 6:30 p.m and receive a larger, eight-ounce souvenir mug. It’s a cele-beer-tion.
