Her work has been published on The Poetry Foundation website and in literary journals such as Artist Commune\, JOYLAND\, TriQuarterly\, Gulf Stream\, and Hippocampus Magazine. The author of three poetry collections and one nonfiction collection\, Ayers has been awarded the Ohio Arts Council’s Individual Excellence Award for creative nonfiction. She has also attended artist residencies at Yaddo\, The Virgina Center for the Creative Arts\, and Soaring Gardens. Ayers earned her MFA in creative nonfiction at Randolph College.
