Join artists Janet Echelman and Ann Hamilton for a conversation about site specificity, immersive public art, and the role of landscape, infrastructure, and community in their practices.
Together, they will discuss Echelman’s large-scale environmental installations, including Current (2023), and the ways artists can engage with the places and communities in which their work is situated. Echelman will be in dialogue with Ann Hamilton, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University and a Distinguished Professor in the department for a decade. Like Echelman, Hamilton’s practice explores the relationship between art, place, community, and scale.
