Are you ready for an adventure? Thurber Summer Writing Camp is back and as creative as ever! Join us and we'll throw in a heap of creativity, imagination, fun, and laughter (and maybe a touch of madness) to make your summer unforgettable.

Students will work with artists, teachers, and authors over five days filled with unique, hilarious, out-of-the-box activities designed for maximum creativity.

This year, we're offering two options to enjoy camp: virtual OR in-person. Whichever format you choose, we're committed to making it a blast! You do NOT have to live in Ohio to join our virtual camps.

Rising 2nd–3rd Graders
August 9–13
In-person camp (Thurber Center): 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Virtual camp (Zoom): 1:00–4:00 pm Eastern Time

You'll be visited by not one but two published authors—and that's not all! You'll imagine your own invention and create fun ways to "pitch" it to your friends, learn what it takes to write a picture book, and fill your camp journal with your own stories and poems.

In-person camp (Thurber Center): 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Virtual camp (Zoom): 1:00–4:00 pm Eastern Time

We've packed your week full of so many writing adventures that you might get writer's cramp! We have mysteries for you to solve, new poetry styles for you to try, ghost stories to write, fairy tales to rewrite, and more.

----------

Rising 7th–9th Graders
June 7–11, June 14–18, June 21–25, OR June 28–July 2
In-person camp (Thurber Center): 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Virtual camp (Zoom): 1:00–4:00 pm Eastern Time

Writer's block? Not this week. You will learn how to get inspiration from everything from creepy photos to letters to poems to music to personal experience and more. Not only will you have fun writing, but you'll learn all the tools to fight writer's block!
