Inside 43215: Planning for Pearl Market

By Heather Brown | 27 Mar, 2012

Does the recent warm weather pull your thoughts outside to all the things you’d rather do instead of sending the 10-million emails that will generate even more work? Need a break, but have to plan it into your too-busy schedule?

Soon, twice-weekly respite will be a short walk away when Pearl Market opens in mid-May. If you’ve never shopped at the Market you are missing out. To entice new customers and our loyal followers to come early and stay late, there’s a giveaway waiting one lucky Right Now Downtown reader.

This unique urban market delivers a merchant mix reflective of the rich cultural diversity of central Ohio, including a wide array of locally grown produce, hand-crafted merchandise and delicious food, while providing a retail incubator for local entrepreneurs.

This time of year, Market staff pours over merchant and farmer applications every day to create a merchant mix that promises something for everyone. Plus, they book the live entertainment to keep the alley hopping.

In case you’ve never been or the gray winter days fogged your memory, Pearl Market pops up their tents on Tuesdays and Fridays, May 15 – October 26 from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. smack dab in the middle of downtown in Pearl and Lynn Alleys.

Even if shoppers find themselves low on cash, they can purchase tokens with credit cards and the Ohio Direction Card, and the tokens work just like greenbacks.

Post a comment here to tell us what you’d like to see in Pearl Market this year, and you’ll be registered to win 15.00 in Pearl Market tokens.
