Columbus Commons

Lounge on the lawn, take a carousel ride, get lost in a book, take a stroll through world-class gardens, and enjoy an outdoor café all in the heart of Downtown Columbus.

Columbus Commons, a beautiful, vibrant 9-acre green space, is bursting with activity from May through September with concerts, family events, movies, performances and more! It is also a perfect host for corporate events, fundraisers and weddings.

The Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion, to open May 2012, will be the crowning glory of this jewel of an urban park. The state-of-the-art pavilion will be the summer home of the Columbus Symphony orchestra as well as a host to local, regional and national concerts and performances.

Located right off Third Street, between State and Rich Streets the Columbus Commons garages offer convenient, affordable, and secure parking options.

Capitol South led the effort to transform City Center Mall into Columbus Commons, partnering with the Franklin County Metroparks and the Franklin County Commissioners. The park will support the ongoing, market-driven development of a truly walkable Downtown neighborhood that will integrate living spaces, retail and office spaces with recreational and entertainment opportunities.

To create the new park, Capitol South worked with the Georgetown Company as its development manager, and a design/build team made up of construction manager Corna-Kokosing, architects Moody Nolan and landscape architects EDGE Group.
