Symphony Nights

Are you looking to fill your summer nights with the beauty of music? The Columbus Symphony Orchestra is betting you are. Mark your calendar this week with two outstanding summer-specific Symphony events: Summer Night Music and Picnic with the Pops. Both will leave you with a whole new appreciation for what our Symphony has to offer.

On Thursday, July 13 at 8 p.m., get ready for A Little Night Music at the Southern Theatre. Part of the Symphony’s new classical series of concerts called Summer Night Music, this program features Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik and Divertimento in D Major, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings. All the more impressive – it will be performed without a conductor. Our symphony rocks.

And pops. On Saturday, July 15 at 8 p.m., Picnic with the Pops returns to Columbus Commons. Long a Columbus summer favorite, Picnic with the Pops lets you enjoy your music under the stars with a delicious picnic and good friends. This week’s performance, A Night of Symphonic Hip Hop, features Common, a Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe-winning rapper (as well as actor, producer, activist and poet). Bring your own picnic, or order ahead from the special catering menu. You’re sure to have a night to remember.
